When do lessons begin?Classes officially begin on September 3rd, 2019 & January 6th, 2020.

Can I start lessons after the official start dates?Yes! You can register anytime, but it is highly recommended that you enroll in September and again in January as the semesters run from September to December & January to June for those preparing for their examinations. The year-end musical production will require you to attend weekly 2 hours workshops where we will work together in groups of 10, so it is best for everyone to begin at the beginning of September in order to ensure all participants have input and time to practice their roles together.

How much are lessons?Please contact me for more information. There is a set price, but I also work with families on a sliding scale as I want everyone to be able to benefit from music, art and writing lessons.

Are there family & friend discounts?Yes! There are family and friend discounts of 10%, 15%, and 25% for each additional family or friend enrolled. These discounts reflect the first student enrolling at full-price, the second at 10% off, the third at 15% and the fourth at 25% off. A group enrollment of five (5) or more will receive 20% off. These discounts do not apply to families paying on a sliding scale as these prices will include a discount on an individual basis. This scale is based on the honour system and kept strictly confidential between us ... all students will be treated with respect and dignity, and all are expected to participate, practice and have fun!

Can all of my children attend the same group class at the same time?Yes! Be sure to enroll early so that you can choose the day and time that works best for you and your family. It is recommended that group classes should have at least 4 children and at most 10.

What is your refund policy?There is a refund policy in place, although I hope each and every one of my students will be fulfilled, and that I provide all of you with an exceptional experience here at ALMsHouse. The lines of communication are always open, and lessons can be changed until they meet your expectations. A full refund is given within the first 4 lessons. You will not receive a refund on the lessons taken, (charged for 4 lessons minimum) but on the subsequent months that you have paid. In the case of paying monthly with post-dated cheques per semester, or the full year, your cheques will be returned to you. If you have paid in full for the semester or the year, you will receive a full refund via the method of your choice: email money transfer, cheque, or money order. Again, your satisfaction and happiness are guaranteed, so if you are unhappy with something within your lessons, please let me know and we will work together in altering them within the first 4 sessions to ensure smooth lessons for the year!

Do you provide make-up lessons?There are three (3) make-up lessons afforded to students taking private lessons, but it is expected that students will continue to practice and will also have their homework assignments completed. This is to ensure that they will not fall behind in their studies, but of course, there are situations where this will be impossible, therefore not expected and will be individually discussed. Unfortunately, there will be no group make-up lessons as it would prove to be very difficult to reschedule lessons in group settings. All homework assignments will be e-mailed to students who have missed a group lesson, and in the case of private students, they will continue with the next 2 pages in their theory book, and to continue working on their sight-reading and assigned pieces.
